Amy Karnes, M.S., BCBA

Amy Karnes is a seasoned Behavior Analysis with extensive experience in Applied Behavior Analysis, event coordination, and advocacy for children with diverse needs. Amy graduated from Georgia Southern University with an undergraduate degree in Psychology and then a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis with an emphasis in Autism from Ball State University. Amy earned her BCBA certification in November 2019. With over a decade of experience working with children with individualized needs, she currently serves as the Regional Director for the Savannah and Coastal Georgia Region at Achievements ABA Therapy. In addition to her leadership role, Amy excels as an Event Coordinator, managing a variety of programs and initiatives that engage, educate, and inspire. She specializes in planning and executing events that bring communities together, including workshops, training sessions, fundraisers, and awareness campaigns. Her expertise spans venue selection, budget management, vendor coordination, and the creation of tailored event schedules, ensuring every detail aligns with the event’s goals and vision.  Amy's most recent events include the Welcome Luau for the 2024 Georgia Behavior Analysis Conference, as well as designing several elaborate promotional booths at differing events throughout Georgia. Amy’s dedication to fostering a welcoming and diverse community shines through in every event she organizes. Her commitment to inclusion and excellence, combined with her proven track record of success, makes her an invaluable asset to her organization and the communities she serves. Amy’s inspiring leadership, innovative approach, and heartfelt passion for making a difference make her a standout candidate for this recognition.
